Home
There and back again... got back Wednesday afternoon. "Sweet Home Alabama" has been stuck in my head. I can truly say Winnipeg is my home. Some former Winnipeggers have different sentiments (see the song One Great City! by The Weakerthans).

haha I have to agree. One has to leave Winnipeg in order to love Winnipeg. I did when I graduated high school. I missed it like crazy. The weakerthans probably never liked Winnipeg because they had no friends here.
Hahaha Neil - yeah they were probably a bunch of losers :P
Thanks Josh - glad to be back, we'll have to hang out soon (Tuesday I presume)
There's something about becoming attached to a place - consider how people can become nationalistic even if their country is in quite a bad situation. There's something about it simply being "home".
Perhaps as our friends are in the finishing school/career phase this may change, I have a feeling it could be a bit of a diaspora from here.
